• REALITY IS CREATED BY THE MIND

This blog was created as a project for the Research & Enquiry subject at the University of Hertfordshire. I will briefly introduce myself here, but you can read more about my path in the “about me” section.

Since I was little, I have always loved audiovisual, its semiotics and its meanings. I have always found it to be a compelling art capable of touching countless people at once and, most importantly, in different ways. Art, in any form, depends a lot on who is consuming it. The point of view often depends on the viewer, their feelings and thoughts at the exact moment they consumed it. So I have always enjoyed giving new meaning to art, consuming it again with a new look and maturity and thus understanding everything being passed on: resignify it.

I am currently studying MA film and television production because I want to be a director, and I feel that my job as a director is to make the viewer reflect, and every time they watch my art, they will have a new vision. I want it to be timeless and understood by everyone – in different ways. So my aim for this Research Project is to analyze semiotics and timelessness in films. Explore plot, details and their different meanings. Studying further the power of semiotics over time and space in cinema and bringing it to my future projects.
